On April 4th partners of the “Bioenergy retrofit of facilities for heat and power production” (BIORET) project from Sweden (project coordinator Energikontor Sydost AB) and Poland (Instytut Maszyn Przepływowych im. Roberta Szewalskiego Polskiej Akademii Nauk) visited the Lithuanian Energy Institute.
During the meeting, a seminar was held, where project participants and representatives of Lithuanian companies presented the technological innovations implemented in their companies and shared their experiences. After the seminar, the unique agro-biomass burning technology AXT_BioT developed together with AXIS Tech was presented to the participants of the project, and the Kaunas Combined Heat and Power Plant was visited.
The overall objective for the initiative (Bioenergy retrofit of facilities for heat and power production) is to create a network by transnational cooperation for knowledge – and experience exchange for bioenergy retrofit actions to accelerate the transition to sustainable heat and electricity production.
