The annual conference of the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations (EARTO) took place in Warsaw on May 15-16, 2024. The second day of the conference was held at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation. The conference program focused mainly on the theme “The Role of European RTOs in Supporting EU Open Strategic Autonomy.” The discussions included high-level speakers from the European Commission, as well as EARTO members and senior RTO representatives from around the world. Dr. Rolandas Urbonas, Deputy Director of LEI, also spoke in the panel discussion “Competence Dissemination and Development of RTO Capabilities Across Europe.”
The costs of participation in the EARTO conference were covered by the funds of the project “Membership in the Association of European Research Coordinators and Administrators”, financed by the funds of the Economic Revitalization and Resilience Enhancement Fund under the plan “New Generation Lithuania”, the funding institution is the Research Council of Lithuania (LMT).
