A postdoctoral internship is an important stage in a researcher’s career. Although these activities are limited due to the current situation worldwide, there are opportunities for virtual internships. Lithuanian Energy Institute accepted a researcher from the Riga Technical University (https://www.rtu.lv/en) for a virtual internship at the Center for Hydrogen Energy Technologies, who gained a lot of useful experience during the internship and expanded his knowledge in the field of surface analysis. The results obtained during the internship will be published in joint scientific articles.
It is gratifying that even in such a difficult time, we can provide young researchers the space to gain new experiences and broaden their horizons.
