“Lithuania’s pursuit of excellence in bioenergy brings the country forward in the European low-carbon energy scene” – asserts SUPEERA project’s overview of Lithuania. In brief it covers Lithuania’s success in it’s path towards low-carbon energy by shifting to bioenergy technologies (i.e. Waste-to-Eenergy) in context of major national and European decarbonisation priorities. The overview also covers Lithuanian Energy Institute‘s role as a key stakeholder in the clean energy transition process, and features it’s example project TWIN-PEAKS aimed to further research excellence, share and transfer scientific knowledge and know-how on Waste-to-Energy technologies internationally.
