On March 6, 2024, the first meeting of the implementers of the #GIFFT “Sustainable Glass Industry with Fuel-Flexible Technology” project took place at the Lithuanian Energy Institute, during which project partners from Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Lithuania (Project coordinator) discussed ongoing activities. Consortium participants shared future work plans, discussed possible risks, and their solutions. During the meeting, while the partners visited the Plasma Processing and Combustion Processes laboratories, experimental stands were presented and pilot tests were carried out by burning gases of different composition. These studies are important for addressing the issues faced by the glass industry in the energy sector. For a more detailed discussion, on March 7, GIFFT project partners met at the AB “Panevėžio stiklas” factory, where the glass manufacturing process was presented.
