On 19th September, 2018 the Lithuanian Energy Institute hosted a seminar “Population Access to Housing and Measures to Increase the Availability of Housing“. It was attended by researchers from various scientific institutions and representatives of the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, many municipalities, and representatives of housing companies.
The seminar focused on issues related to state assistance in the housing area. Mr Liutauras Vičkačka, Advisor to the Minister of Social Security and Labour, opened the event. The seminar presented the models of state assistance in housing, the experience of foreign countries, factors and trends in housing provision in Lithuania, results of quantitative modelling and qualitative research on assistance in housing provision.
