To respond to the urgency and ambition of the European Green Deal objectives, a call for research and innovation proposals worth €1 billion is about to be launched as part of Horizon 2020. The Call will be opening in mid-September and will close at the end of January 2021.
As part of the UK/EU Withdrawal Agreement, UK Organisations are fully eligible to participate in this competition and those that are successful in winning Horizon 2020 funding will continue to receive their funding from the European Commission until the completion of those projects, even if they are several years duration.
Projects are expected to deliver tangible and visible results relatively quickly and show how research and innovation can provide concrete solutions for the Green Deal main priorities.
Following the Horizon 2020 Green Deal opportunities webinar held on the 10th July, this series of online events is aimed at those who are looking to submit to the Horizon 2020 Green Deal Call opening mid-September.
The events will provide delegates with the opportunity to:
- Gather information on forthcoming Horizon 2020 Green Deal call topics;
- Discuss and refine your project ideas with potential partners;
- Discuss your project idea with UK National Contact Points;
- Build collaborations and join Horizon 2020 consortia.
The calls will be covered across a series of online events with similar topics grouped.
Who should attend?
The events are suitable for anyone with an interest in participating in European projects in the forthcoming Horizon 2020 Green Deal topics. Delegates from all European Member States are encouraged to attend the events.
