KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden Call for Papers & Participation – Nordic Energy Informatics Academy Conference 2025 & Summer School on Smart Buildings (Springer LNCS, Free Registration, KTH, Sweden)
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to submit your high-quality research, innovative projects, and case studies for the Nordic Energy Informatics Academy Conference 2025 (EIA Nordic 2025), taking place from 20–22 August 2025 at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. In addition, we are delighted to announce the Nordic EIA Summer School on Smart Buildings 2025, scheduled for 18–19 August 2025 at the same venue. Both events are fully sponsored by Nordic Energy Research and free of charge.
Conference Overview
EIA Nordic 2025 is a premier global event that brings together academia and industry to explore cutting-edge topics at the intersection of energy systems and informatics. This year’s conference will cover a broad range of themes, including but not limited to:

A dedicated Nordic track will focus on region-specific challenges and innovations. Accepted papers will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) proceedings.
Submission Guidelines
- Full Papers: 12–15 pages (excluding references)
- Short Papers: 6–11 pages (including references)
Submissions will undergo a single-blind review process by at least three experts.

- Acceptance Notification: 9 June 2025
- Camera-Ready Paper Due: 8 July 2025
- Registration Deadline: 18 July 2025

Summer School on Smart Buildings 2025
This immersive summer school is designed for PhD students and industry professionals who wish to deepen their expertise in smart building technologies. The program includes expert-led lectures and hands-on workshops focusing on:
- Smart Building Concepts & Performance Management
- Building Energy Simulation & Analysis (using tools like IDA ICE)
- HVAC Systems & Whole-Building Energy Management
- Data-Driven Performance Management
- Integration of Smart Buildings in Smart Cities
Participants will earn 2 ECTS credits and receive a certificate upon successful completion. Please note that while participation is free, seats are limited. The application will be reviewed based on its alignment with the program objectives.
